"Vida del Mar", a 40" x 60" painting of the Pacific coast of Mexico, was commissioned by an Alaskan for display in her Anchorage home. Her request was that I do sketches at her winter vacation home for a large piece that she could view up north between stays at her cherished tropical retreat. Owing to the patron's love of bright color, I painted a dramatic sunset illuminating the red clay roof tiles that towered above the incoming tide below.
