Pilar After the Night Storm alludes to the quickly disappearing evidence of an overnight shower that has since cleared the air of high desert dust. The first rays of morning bathe the steep canyon walls of the Rio Grande rift in an uplift of renewal. This painting was shown in the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico 2016 8th National Juried Members Show at Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
